Unpaid Muvhango Actors Threatening To Strike.

Looks like Generation is not the only SABC' soap opera to have problem with actors about money.

According to the Sunday Sun, Muvhango actors are threatening to strike after they have not been paid this month.

Sunday Sun reports that the actors are planning on striking if they don't get paid by next week.

An actor whose identity was withheld tells the paper: “We are very pissed off because we think they’re treating us like dirt. “If we don’t get paid, something must happen. It’s the end of the month, we don’t have money and our debit orders are bouncing back.

“We’re going to shoot our scenes but we are not happy

Another actor told the publication that no one told them anything, and that they are not "scared to strike".

Meanwhile ,SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago said that they were informed about the problem, and says they are working on it... “We were not aware that they have not been paid. Once we were made aware, we intervened. “We are concerned about the plight of actors. We are going to make a special payment to Word of Mouth early next week while we are investigating the cause of the delay".

Kganyago also said actions will be taken If they had to find that one of them is at fault.
