Sylvester Stallone Removes Himself From The Expendables 4.

Insiders claims Sylvester Stallone is no more involved with "The Expendables" franchise. The actor and director is allegedly istepping away from The Expendables 4 sources said.

A source tells Deadline that Stallone and Nu Image/Millennium chief Avi Lerner could not find common ground on a new director, on the script and on certain qualitative elements of the film. Stallone, who created the franchise is apparently concerned about a franchise connected to him having a film which is underwhelming.

When contacted by Deadline, Lerner confirm the differences, but said a decision hasn't been made yet. "We've got disagreements with Sly, but we've had them for over a year and a half," he told Deadline. "Right now, each one has an opinion. We agreed on 95% of things, but there are certain things in production we don't agree on. I don't think it's over, but write whatever you want. In my opinion, it's not dead."

Stallone leaving means he will leave behind a $20 million paycheck - the biggest upfront payday in his career. The actor has directed the first film and Co-wrote all the sequels.

It was revealed last year that the franchise will have an all female spin-off title "The ExpendaBelles," directed by Robert Lebovic.

Stallone is also reportedly looking to work with Jackie Chan. Stallone. Will be making appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The actor is no stranger when it comes to franchise movies, Stallone has wrote Rocky, five of which he wrote and four of which he directed. He also starred as John Rambo in four films, all of which he wrote.
