Akihito Tsukushi's Made in Abyss Anime Adaptation To Premiere In July.

The anime show adaptation of Akihito Tsukushi's manga "Made in Abyss" finally has a released date.

The official revealed on Friday 26 May, that the anime series will premiere on July 7, in Japan. Masayuki Kojima (Black Bullet, Tibetan Dog) will helmet the anime TV series at studio Kinema Citrus, and Kazuchika Kise (Ghost in the Shell: Arise Alternative Architecture, xxxHOLiC) will design the characters.






In the world, there is a massive hole called the Abyss that lies within the undiscovered, final mystical spot. Inside this bottomless massive hole, there are mysterious creatures and highly valuable relics that can’t be crafted with current technology. The Abyss’s huge presence that is filled with numerous enigmas has urged people to embark on a great adventure. The adventurers who challenge the hole have come to be referred to as Tankutsuka (cave adventurers).




Orphan girl Riko lives in a city surrounding the hole and dreams of one day becoming a great Tankutsuka like her mother, and solve the mysteries lying inside Abyss. One day, while she is exploring in the hole, she picks up a boy-shaped robot.

The original Made in Abyss web manga by Akihito Tukushi launched in Takeshobo's Web Comic Gamma digital magazine in 2012.
