GAME OF THRONES SPINOFF SERIES CONFIRMED WITH FOUR WRITERS ON BOARD!




Variety is reporting that HBO has closed deals with Max Borenstein (“Kong: Skull Island”), Jane Goldman (“Kingsman: The Golden Circle”), Brian Helgeland (“Legend”), and Carly Wray (“Mad Men,” “The Leftovers”) to work on four possible spinoffs of popular TV series “Game of Thrones.”

According to Variety, Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin will collaborate with Goldman and Wray. However, will not write any of the spinoffs. The TV show executive producers and showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff are also attached to the four projects..

“We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in,” a HBO spokesperson told Variety.




“Game of Thrones” seventh season debuts on HBO on July 16, and will consist of seven episodes. The eighth and final season, which is being written by Weiss and Benioff will be between six and eight episodes.

Game of Thrones was created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. The TV series is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels, the first of which is A Game of Thrones. The series premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 201
