Inuyashiki Manga's Last Volume To B Released In September, And The Anime Adaptation In October.


It has been revealed that Hiroya Oku's manga Inuyashiki manga, last volume will be released in September. The announcement​ was revealed on the manga's ninth volume.




Hiroya Oku's manga series 10th and final compiled book volume is slated for release in late September. Which means Inuyashiki will end its serialization with five chapters.

Hiroya Oku's Inuyashiki debuted in the January 2014 issue of Kodansha's seinen manga magazine, Evening. A television anime series adaptation of the manga directed​ by MAPPA studio chief director Keiichi Satou (Tiger & Bunny, GANTZ:O, Rage of Bahamut Genesis) will premiere in October 2017, on Fuji TV's Noitamina block. Naoyuki Onda (Rage of Bahamut Genesis, The Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Gantz) is designing the characters.

The anime will stream exclusively overseas through Fuji TV's agreement with Amazon for its Noitamina shows. The manga also has a live-action film which will debut in 2018.




Inuyashiki follow the story of Ichiro is an elderly, friendless man with an uncaring family. One fateful day he is struck by a mysterious explosion in a public park, which is of extraterrestrial origin, his body is replaced by an incredibly powerful, but still outwardly human, mechanical body. He quickly realizes the extent of his body's powers, and after saving a homeless man being beaten by a pack of teenagers, he decides to dedicate himself to doing good, using his powers to heal those with incurable diseases and fight crime.
