Irregular at Magic High School Anime Film's New Trailer And Release Date Revealed.

Madhouse release on Wednesday the first official trailer for "Gekijōban Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Hoshi o Yobu Shōjo/The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie: The Girl Who Calls the Stars" film adaptation and the Japan release date.




The film directed by Risako Yoshida will open in Japan on June 17. The teaser trailer also features the film theme song "Speed Star" by the duo GARNiDELiA. The film will feature an original story from the light novel manga series author Tsutomu Satou, with character designer by artist Kana Ishida - the original light novel illustrator.

Satou first published the series on Shōsetsuka ni Narō novel website, between October 2008 and March 2011. Satou later sign a deal with Dengeki Bunko label to turn the series to a light novel format beginning July 2011. A television anime series adaptation by Madhouse with Manabu Ono as director, debuted in April 2014. The novel series has more than 7.7 million copies in print in Japan.





In the film, the seasons have changed and it will soon be the second spring. Tatsuya and Miyuki have finished their first year at first magic high school and are on their spring break. The two go to their villa on the Ogasawara Island archipelago. After only a small moment of peace, a lone young woman named Kokoa appears before them. She has abandoned the Naval base and she tells Tatsuya her one wish.
