Donald Glover To Play Miles Morales Uncle In Spiderman: Homecoming

Donald Glover Will play the role of Prowler in Spiderman: homecoming

Sony's official cast list is revealing that Donald Glover will be portraying Miles Morales uncle Aaron Davis in Spiderman: Homecoming.

Aaron Davis also know as the Prowler, accidentally stole Oscorp’s radioactive spiders after scientist Dr. Markus used Peter Parker's blood to recreate the Oz formula that created Spider-Man. One of the spiders created by Markus crawls into the Prowler's duffel bag. Days later, the Prowler's nephew, grade-schooler Miles Morales, is bitten by the spider during a visit to Aaron's apartment. Miles Morales first appeared appeared as Spiderman in Ultimate Fallout #4 (August 2011), after the presumably death of Peter Parker.

Miles Morales was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, with Bendis and Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso drawing inspiration from both then-U.S. President Barack Obama and American actor Donald Glover. In the comic book series Miles is originally from Earth-1610 universe and not Peter Parker's Earth-616 universe. Miles is also a member of the latest team of Avengers, which debuts in the 2016 series All-New, All-Different Avengers.

Donald Glover voiced Miles Morales in the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Homecoming will premiere on July 7. Read more on Miles Morales
