Basilisk Getting A Sequel Anime Series Set 10years After The First Anime!

The key visual for the anime series adaptation of Masaki Yamada's Ōka Ninpōchō Basilisk Shinshō (Ōka Ninja Scrolls Basilisk New Chapter) novels was revealed on Wednesday, showing Hachirou Kouga of the Kouga Clan and Hibiki Iga of the Iga Clan. you can see the visual below.




The anime show sequel will center on the "Cherry Blossom Ninpo Chapter" of the series, which picks up 10 years after the events of the previous anime series Kōga Ninpōchō . The sequel will follow the story of  Hachirō and Hibiki, two elite ninja from the Kōga and Iga clans.





A sequel manga adaptation based on Masaki Segawa's Basilisk original manga will launch in the 34th issue of Kodansha's Young Magazine on July 24.

Masaki Segawa launched Basilisk in 2003 in Kodansha's Young Magazine Uppers magazine. Segawa's manga is based on the novel The Kouga Ninja Scrolls by Futaro Yamada published in 1958. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation in 2005 produced by Gonzo Studios. The novel also inspired a live-action film in 2005 titled SHINOBI - Heart Under Blade.
