Kermit The Frog Actor Quit After 30years Of Voicing The Character.

Kermit The Frog voice actor and puppeteer, Steve Whitmire, has left the position after nearly 30 years of voicing the character. Whitmire took over the control of Kermit in the 90s following the death of Muppets creator Jim Henson.

Whitmire will be replaced by Matt Vogel, who played Constantine - Kermit imposter - in Muppets Most Wanted. Whitmire was also the voice of Foo-Foo, Statler, Beaker, Lips, Rizzo the Rat, Link Hogthrob, The Muppet Newsman<)b>, and Andy Pig. Vogel first footage as Kermit The Frog character will be released online next week. Vogel also played '80s Robot and Camilla the Chicken.




Kermit the Frog was debuted in 1955 by Jim Henson. Henson originally performed Kermit until his death on May 16, 1990. Kermit is the protagonist of numerous Muppet productions, including Sesame Street and The Muppet Show, as well as in movies and specials.
