The character called Lucian, described in his official profile, "wields relic weapons imbued with ancient power and stands a stalwart guardian against the undead. His cold conviction never wavers, even in the face of the maddening horrors he destroys beneath his hail of purifying fire. Lucian walks alone on a grim mission: to purge the spirits of those ensnared in undeath, his eternal beloved among them." pretty much looks like Davids, from the dreadlocks and the signature glasses he used to wear on the field and his love for football.

Riot argued that there was not much similarities between the League Of Legends skin and Davis. However, a tweet from 2014 by former Riot QA analyst Baconhawk proved otherwise.

The court ordered Riot to reveal to auditors how much League Of Legends has earned off their Striker Lucian skin and will determine the appropriate amount of compensation based on the sales.

Riot Games developed the multiplayer online battle arena video game for Microsoft Windows and macOS, and was inspired by the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne mod, Defense of the Ancients. In the game players assume the role of an unseen "summoner" that controls a "champion" with unique abilities and battle against a team of other players. The goal is usually to destroy the opposing team's "nexus", a structure which lies at the heart of a base protected by defensive structures, although other distinct game modes exist as well. Each League of Legends match is discrete, with all champions starting off fairly weak but increasing in strength by accumulating items and experience over the course of the game.
