John Kani Joins The Cast Of The Lion King Liveaction Remake As Rafiki.

John Kani has been revealed as the latest actor to join the cast of The Lion King live action remake. The film directed by Jon Favreau hits theatres on 19 July 2019.





Kani, who will reprise is role as the Black Panther’s father King T’Chaka in the upcoming movie, will voice Rafiki in The Lion King live action film. The film cast already includes Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl Jones will reprise is role as Mufasa, John Oliver as Zazu, Billy Eichner as Timon, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi and Seth Rogen as Pumbaa.

Rafiki role was previously portrayed by Robert Guillaume in the 1994 animated original. The film is currently shooting in Los Angeles.
