The Dragon Dentist Original Anime Gets Manga Adaptation.

Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Gene magazine September issue announced on Saturday that Ōtarō Maijō's The Dragon Dentist ( Ryū no Haisha) anime series will get a manga adaptation drawn by Yōko. The manga series will launch in the magazine's next issue on September 15.

Even mighty dragons can get cavities, and Nonoko has been newly assigned to protect the teeth of the guardian dragon of her country. One day, she discovers an enemy soldier resurrected from the inside of a dragon's tooth, a phenomenon which legend says foretells disaster. In a land ravaged by war, what does fate have in store for the dragon dentist Nonoko and her new “apprentice”?

The 8-minute-long original net anime was released as the first part of Hideaki Anno's Animator Expo. A two-part anime television special adaptation was aired in February 2017. The Dragon Dentist ( Ryū no Haisha) won the Best Animation award at the Magnolia Awards at the Shanghai TV Festival in June.
