Production I.G shared on Wednesday a new visual and teaser trailer for Yoshiki Tanaka's science fiction novels The Legend of the Galactic Heroes Event ~Star-Crossed. Which you can see below.






The Legend of the Galactic Heroes Die Neue These KaikĊ (The New Thesis: Star-Crossed) 12-episode anime television series will air April 2018, and the second season "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes Die Neue These Seiran (The New Thesis: Stellar War)", be released in theaters, as three films of four episodes each, in 2019.

Yoshiki Tanaka released the 14-volume novel series in Japan from 1982 to 1989. An anime adaptation of the novels, produced by Kitty Films and animated for the most part by Artland and Magic Bus, ran from 1988 to 1997. The animatd series only received an official English releas in 2015, when Viz Media and Sentai Filmworks acquired the license to the novels. The anime also has a number of video games with the recent on being released in 2008.







In humanity's distant future, two interstellar states – the monarchic Galactic Empire and the democratic Free Planets Alliance – are embroiled in a never-ending war. The story focuses on the exploits of rivals Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen Li as they rise to power and fame in the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance respectively.
