Fairy Tail Creator and Illustrator To Be Honored With A Harvey Awards At The New York Comic Con.

According to reports, Fairy Tail writer and illustrator Hiro Mashima, will receive the first Harvey Awards International Spotlight award during the New York Comic Con event on Saturday, October 7. Mashima will be a guest at the New York Comic Con on October 5.


Mashima launched Fairy Tail in Weekly Sh┼Źnen Magazine August 2, 2006 and ended on July 2016. As of February 2017, Fairy Tail had 60 million copies in print. In 2009 Fairy Tail received an anime series adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures, Dentsu Inc., and Satelight. The series ended its initial run on March 30, 2013. A second series premiered on April 5, 2014, and ended on March 26, 2016. A new seasin of the anime series is set to premiere in 2018.

Mashima revealed that he's planning on working on a new mamga with a new story, new characters in new world.
