Justice League : New Details Suggest Steppenwolf And Doomsday Face Off.

New Justice League details revealed from Hollywood Magazine have suggested that Doomsday will be facing Steppenwolf - the main antagonist- in the upcoming live-action film.

"The uncle of the universe’s greatest villain, Darkseid, and a member of his elite force, Steppenwolf survived a battle with Doomsday. That should tell you just how powerful he is. Aside from his strength and near-immortality, he’s also an expert tactician and wields a vicious electro-axe that can cut through just about anything.

"Steppenwolf’s primary role is as the leader of the parademons, the storm troopers who seek to destroy in the name of Darkseid. His primary mission is to serve his nephew, and his status as the main villain in Justice League suggests the scope of the threat facing Earth, as well as the inevitable appearance of Darkseid himself.

"Irish star Ciaran Hinds plays the role in the movie, though he will appear through the use of motion-capture technology. According to the actor, in the film, Steppenwolf is old, tired, and trying desperately to get out from under his servitude to his nephew."

These details could be the character's description from the comics as it was previously reported that Steppenwolf was Darkseid's nephew in the movie instead of his uncle. Inverting both characters origins.

In the comic book Steppenwolf accompanied his nephew Darkseid to the planet Bylan 5 so that Darkseid could marry the princess of the planet in order to get access to the planet resources. But things goes wrong when Doomsday suddenly appear wreaking havoc on the planet killing Master Mayhem. Angered, Darkseid attempted to engage the monster using Omega Beams and in hand-to-hand combat, but Steppenwolf decided it was best for them both to retreat as Bylan 5 was essentially destroyed.

Fueled by the hero’s restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Justice League sees Bruce Wayne enlist the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Raymond Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Amber Heard as Mera and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The film is set to open in theatre November 17, 2017.
