Infinity War And Avengers 4 To Serve As Marvel Cinematic Universe Relaunch.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently revealed that Avengers 4 will a finale for many Marvel Cinematic Universe's key character and will split the MCU into two; what came before and what came after. Now Ant-Man and the Wasp star ,Evangeline Lilly, has revealed that Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 bid farewell to the old superheroes to pave the way to the new generation like Marvel comics' All-New, All-Different Marvel.

"When I heard about Infinity War and the direction that they’re heading, I did have this moment of realizing, oh, wow, there’s a bit of a déjà vu for me with the Lost franchise," Lilly told Vanity Fair. "We are hitting that [Lost] Season 4 space where everything’s about to shift, and you’re about to lose the solid ground underneath you. And [Ant-Man and the Wasp], of course, will play a part in that."

"Frankly, if it wasn’t Kevin at the helm, I think I would be very, very nervous to be losing these pillars and the people who paved a way for characters like the Wasp," the actress said, hinting at some big character losses in the two movies. "When he walked me through the general story arc of Infinity War, it dawned on me: oh, I understand now, we’re moving into this new Phase. The color of that new Phase can be clearly seen emerging through Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Thor: Ragnarok. It’s just a more colorful, more playful, heightened reality that we’re going to enter."

All-New, All-Different Marvel took place after the "Secret Wars" crossover story-line. The new Marvel Universe saw legacy heroes (new superheroes) taking on the role of already established superheroes.

Looks like Marvel studio is looking to reboot/relaunch their Marvel Cinematic Universe and introduce new superheroes by killing off major key characters during the Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 events.

Chris Hemsworth (Thor) also told Vanity Fairy during a visit at the Avengers 4 set that the it will be the last time the character will be seen all together in the big screen.

"I thought, Could somebody take a photo of this?" the actor said. "We’re all aware that this is going to be the last time we get to hang out like this."

Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled to be released on May 4, 2018, in IMAX and 3D. The sequel Avengers 4 is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2019.
