Titans live-Action TV Show To Feature Doom Patrol.

DC Comics President and CCO Geoff Johns revealed on Thursday that the upcoming Titans live-action series will feature the Doom Patrol. Johns made the reveal during a conversation with Garfield Logan (Beast Boy) on Twiiter.

The Doom Patrol is a group of  "World's Strangest Heroes" misfits, whose "gifts" caused them alienation and trauma. The original team included The Chief (Niles Caulder), Robotman (Cliff Steele), Elasti-Girl (Rita Farr) - Beast Boy adoptive mother, and Negative Man (Larry Trainor). Created by writers Arnold Drake and Bob Haney, and artist Bruno Premiani, the group of superheroes made their first appeared in My Greatest Adventure #80 (June 1963).

Back in October a new character breakdown from the Titans TV show suggested that Beast Boy adoptive mother Rita Farr (Elasti-Girl) will feature on the show under the name of Jennifer Andrews. Considering the fact that the Titans TV series will follow young soon-to-be superheroes, seems like the show will explore Beast Boy's past as a member of the Doom Patrol before ultimately joined up with the Titans.

“Titans explores one of the most popular comic book teams ever. It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.”

DC Entertainment’s Titans stars Ryan Potter as Beast Boy , Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth a.k.a. Raven. Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove r along with Lindsey Gort as Detective Amy Rohrbach.

The Titans TV series will air on Warner Bros’ new DC Comics-branded digital platform which is said to launch in 2018.
