Rambo Reboot In Works Without Sylvester Stallone!

Hollywood Reporter reporting that Nu Image/Millennium Films is planning a Rambo reboot of the classic 1980s action franchise that starred Sylvester Stallone,

According to Hollywood Reporter, the reboot will be directed Ariel Vroman with Brooks McLaren penning the script.

'Rambo: New Blood' would not star Sylvester Stallone, but will still continue the character’s adventures with a new leading man.

There's no plot details yet as the reboot is still in early development.

Stallone himself spent a few years after 2008’s fourth Rambo contemplating a Rambo V, although he stated to Variety last year that he has abandoned such a prospect.

“The heart’s willing, but the body says, ‘Stay home!’” Stallone said.“It’s like fighters that go back for one last round and get clobbered. Leave it to someone else.”

The company is looking at Rambo as a character akin to James Bond.

The character was created by David Morrell's in 1972 for his novel titled First Blood. The book was adapted into the big screen in 1982.
