Disney XD Reveals Premier Date For Maverl's Ant-Man Short Films.

Disney XD has set the date for their upcoming Ant-Man lanimated short films. With the first three shorts to air on Disney XD on Saturday, June 10.

The short animated film titled "Marvel’s Ant-Man," will be a continuing of the 2015 Ant-Man live-action movie directed by Peyton Reed. The Scott Lang a.k.a Ant-Man will be voiced by Josh Keaton (Back to the Future: The Animated Series 1991/1992, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. From 2008 to 2009, Spider-Man in The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series, Voltron: Legendary Defender).

Entertainment Weekly says “the shrinking hero will fight evil alongside the Wasp and Hank Pym. He’ll score occasional breaks to help daughter Cassie with her homework.”

The six two-minute shorts film is animated by Passion Pictures. Marvel’s Ant-Man is directed by Ugo Bienvenu and Kevin Manach, with scripts by Brian Wysol.

The first three shorts will air on Disney XD on Saturday, June 10, with “Science Fair” premiering at 7:58 a.m. ET, “Alien Invasion” set for 11:58 a.m. and “Soup Time” slated for 2:58 p.m. The remaining three (“Exterminator, Proton Cube,” and “Not a Date”) will air June 11 at 11:28 a.m., 5:28 p.m., and 8:58 p.m., respectively.

Alan Fine, Joe Quesada and Stan Lee are among those listed as producers. The fictional characternfirst appeared in Tales to Astonish #27 comic book in January 1962. Ant-Man was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby. The persona was originally the superhero alias of the brilliant scientist Hank Pym after inventing a substance that allowed him to change size; however, Scott Lang and Eric O'Grady have also taken on the Ant-Man mantle.

Actor Paul Rudd played Scott Lang and Michael Douglas played Hank Pym, in 2015 Ant-Man Live-action film.
