Legend of the Galactic Heroes Gets New Visual Featuring Reinhard.

The official website for the new anime show adaptation of Yoshiki Tanaka's sci-fi novel series Ginga Eiyu Densetsu/The Legend of the Galactic Heroes, has revealed a new visual featuring one of the protagonists, Reinhard von Lohengramm. Which you can see below!

The main voice cast actors of the new revamp television anime series will allegedly be revealed at the "New Anime Project 'The Legend of the Galactic Heroes' Event ~The Encounter of The Stars~" event which will be held at Shinjuku Cultural Center in Tokyo on September 20. The anime series first teaser trailer will supposedly be revealed at the event.

Ginga Eiyu Densetsu's creator and illustrator ,Yoshiki Tanaka, and the three main voice cast from the first anime series Ryo Horikawa (Reinhard von Lohengramm), Masashi Hironaka (Siegfried Kircheis), and Nozomu Sasaki (Julian Mintz) will also make an appearance at the event.

Yoshiki Tanaka released the 14-volume novel series in Japan from 1982 to 1989. An anime adaptation of the novels, produced by Kitty Films and animated for the most part by Artland and Magic Bus, ran from 1988 to 1997. The animatd series only received an official English releas in 2015, when Viz Media and Sentai Filmworks acquired the license to the novels. The anime also has a number of video games with the recent on being released in 2008.

In humanity's distant future, two interstellar states – the monarchic Galactic Empire and the democratic Free Planets Alliance – are embroiled in a never-ending war. The story focuses on the exploits of rivals Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen Li as they rise to power and fame in the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance respectively.
