Satoru Noda's Taisho award winning manga series "Golden Kamuy," is getting television anime show. The news was revealed in the 36th and 37th issues of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine on Thursday. The anime series trailer was also unveiled by Viz Media official YouTube channel.

In the early twentieth century, Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi “Immortal” Sugimoto scratches out a meager existence during the postwar gold rush in the wilderness of Hokkaido. But Sugimoto is not the only interested party, and everyone who knows about the gold will kill to possess it! Faced with the harsh conditions of the northern wilderness, ruthless criminals and rogue Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto will need all his skills and luck—and the help of an Ainu girl named Asirpa—to survive.

Golden Kamuy won a Manga Taisho award in March 2016. The manga debuted in 2014 in Shueisha's Young Jump magazine. The ongoing manga series has more than 3.2 million copies in print.
