Young Justice Outsiders To Introduce Traci Thirteen As The Team New Member.

The cast and crew of Young Justice: Outsiders - the animated series third season - revealed at the Comic-Con International in San Diego that the show will introduce Traci Thirteen as a new member of the superheroesteen team.

Traci Thirteen is the only daughter of professional skeptic and paranormal investigator Doctor Terry Thirteen and the Asian sorceress Meihui Lan. The fictional character made her first DC Comics appearance Superman Vol 2 #189 (February, 2003)... She also appeared in the animated film Teen Titans: The Judas Contract voiced by Masasa Moyo. Her character was working at a soup kitchen that Jaime Reyes ( Blue Beetle ) volunteers.

Powers and Abilities

  • Urban Magic: Traci inherited her magical abilities from her mother. Her specialty is city magic, tapping into the knowledge and power of cities.

  • Magical Sight: Traci is able to see people's auras, and can, for a limited time, use the auras' trails to follow them. She can also see certain creatures which are invisible on this plane of existence. This effect is constant.
  • Magical Blast: A blast of magic which, at its higher levels, is capable of tearing a hole through pavement.
  • Protection: Traci can create protective circles and force shields. However, these spells can be broken by an attacker.
  • Divination: Traci can locate objects and people, and can transfer knowledge of their location to someone else's mind. For whatever reason, she couldn't use these spells during her adventures with Superman.
  • Possession: Traci has been seen casting a limited 'possession' spell, giving her limited control over someone's body.
  • Psychic Link: Traci's pet iguana, Leroy, is her sometime familiar. She can talk to him, learning what he's seen and what he thinks.
  • Transformation: She can also cast a spell which turns him into a monstrous dragon-like creature.
  • Fate Sense: Traci also seems to have something of a limited 'fate sense', which kicks in when she's in certain locations, a sense that something important will happen to her there.

  • Occultism

  • Concentration: Some of Traci's spells require a verbal or material component to cast. However, even if a spell has no obvious components, she still needs to concentrate when casting it.

Traci and her father lived something of a nomadic lifestyle, eventually ending up in Washington D.C., where Traci assisted Superman on a couple of adventures, even living in Metropolis for a brief time. Traci was trained by Ralph Dibny and his wife Sue Dibny some time after her mother's death. Traci is forbidden by her father from using her abilities because magic was the cause of her mother’s death.
