Soul Buster Director To Helmet Tokyo Ghoul Sequel, And Ranma ½ Artist To Design Cahracter.

It was announced on the 49th issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine that Soul Buster and Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid director ,Odahiro Watanabe, will replacing Shuhei Morita as director for the anime television series sequel of Tokyo Ghoul. The magazine also revealed that Natsuki Hanae is returning to as Ken Kaneki in the anime show.

The anime television series adaptation based on Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul:re manga series will be produced by Pierrot, and will premiere in 2018. Chūji Mikasano is returning as script writer, and Atsuko Nakajima (Ranma ½) is replacing Kazuhiro Miwa as character designer.

Ishida first published Tokyo Ghoul in Weekly Young Jump in 2011 and was adapted into an anime series in 2014. Tokyo Ghoul:re, the sequel to the manga series was published in Weekly Shonen Jump back in October 2014. The sequel has currently 12 volumes in print.
